Curriculum

The curriculum is the core of what we do and we are definitely settling for nothing but the best. The world-renowned International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) gives students instant credibility at any post-secondary education they choose to pursue, anywhere in the world. The IBO, a non-profit group dedicated to maintaining top quality educational standards has given Raha International School candidate status for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP). As a result we will be rigorously monitored to ensure we meet strict requirements to maintain our authorisation, including active and ongoing teacher training.

The three programmes offered by the IBO address the unique learning needs for each stage of a child’s intellectual and emotional development. These programmes have been exhaustively researched, tested, and proven successful in providing students with an outstanding foundation from which to launch their adult lives and pursue all of their dreams and ambitions.

The Primary Years Programme for ages 4-12
The Middle Years Programme for ages 11-16
The Diploma Programme for ages 16-19

It succeeds with the teachers. All of the leading edge programmes in the world would be meaningless if a student does not connect with the teacher in the classroom. The teacher elevates the science of a top-notch curriculum to an art. At Raha International School, only the most qualified teachers will be considered for admission into our classrooms. And their commitment to excellence must continue through ongoing learning so that every teacher stays current with innovations in education, changes in the world, and the issues important to their students.
