Food Service
In order to support effective learning throughout the day and to promote a well balanced lifestyle, we ask parents to provide healthy lunches and snacks for their child/ren. Students have the option of bringing food from home or purchasing well-balanced snacks and lunches from our catering company, Kelvin Catering Services. There are two systems for students who are using the food services depending on their grades:
PreK- Grade 1
A pre-paid system is followed for students in PreK-Grade 1. If you would like your child to be included in the food plan for the months of September and October, please register his/ her name with our catering supervisor, who will be available in the school starting from Sunday, September 4th, along with the amount of AED 255 (to be paid in cash only). Advance payment will be required by the end of September to register for the balance of Term 1 (AED 1065) and by the end of January to register for Term 2 (AED 1320).The meals includes the following:
PreK-Grade1 will be served on a daily basis a package of Breakfast & Lunch meals for 15 AED (A special rate to encourage the parents register their children)
Ø Breakfast: 1 Dairy or Juice + 1 Snack ( Cereals, sandwiches, Muffin…)
Ø Lunch Meal: 1 Main course including Rice or Pasta or Potatoes + Vegetable or Salad + 1 Dessert
Ø New students, and mid semester additions to the Kelvin Catering Services after the registration dates are billed on a in pro-rata for the remaining days of the period
Ø An absent student will not be reimbursed for the meal not taken. The Catering fee, is calculated as a “package”, with is no subdivision in days, weeks or months
Ø Parents willing to cancel their children registration can inform Kelvin in writing (email or letter) at least one week in advance. And the parents will be reimbursed, by Kelvin, on the pro rata basis of the remaining days for the period
Grade 2- 5
Students in Grades 2-5 will be using the coupons system to purchase food from the dining hall. Coupon books are available. The cost of the book is AED 150.
