MYP Coordinator
Sharon Thompson
Sharon is originally from Australia. After completing her teaching degree in her home state of NSW Sharon's first teaching post was in an aboriginal mission school in an isolated location in the Northern Territory. Sharon continued her teaching in the Northern Territory in schools in Darwin for fifteen years; as well as raising three children. Sharon's first international experience was in Indonesia. As MYP Coordinator she led that school throughout the candidacy and authorisation process for the MYP. Sharon moved next to Portugal where she held the position of MYP coordinator guiding the school through the program evaluation process. Sharon is also an IB workshop leader, team member for authorisation and evaluation visits, consultancy visitor and is presently the senior moderator for the Personal Project for the Middle Years Programme. Sharon firmly believes the MYP is the best preparation for the students to achieve success in all their future endeavours. Sharon joins Raha International School at an exciting time in its development and she looks forward to sharing her skills with the entire school community.
