Brigid Toner Brigid is originally from Toronto, Canada.  She obtained her Honors Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Guelph, Ontario.  Brigid worked as a field biologist in Hawaii and Alaska before a job at an outdoor education centre turned her focus towards teaching.  She completed her Bachelor of Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, and her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Pedagogy from the University of Southern Queensland.  After teaching in Ontario, Brigid moved to Abu Dhabi in 2002 to begin her work in international education.   In 2006, she joined the foundation team for the opening of Raha International School.  Passionate about adolescent development and education, Brigid is a firm believer that the IB programmes offer middle and high school students the preparation necessary for whatever pathways they choose to pursue at this exciting time in their lives.
