Mother Tongue Programme

With many different languages spoken in the RIS community, it is important to encourage language identity. The Mother Tongue Programmes are offered for students who speak their Mother Tongue at home, on a daily basis. These clubs take place thanks to the enthusiastic efforts and commitment of our parent community. This is an opportunity for our school community to share, not only with Mother Tongue speakers, but with the wider school community, music, dancing, traditions, games and festivals from our home countries. This year we have after school classes in French, German, Afrikaans and Dutch!
