Accreditation

As part of Taaleem’s strategy of continuous improvement and self-evaluation, Taaleem requires each school to pursue accreditation from an independent accreditation body of institutions and academic specialists.

Accreditation is the process used to ensure that schools meet and maintain international standards of quality and integrity regarding academics, administration and related services.

All Taaleem schools apply to become accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), and some schools will also attain authorization and accreditation from other institutions. 

Raha International School is accredited by the Council of International School (CIS) and the International Baccalaureate (IB). Raha was the first school in Abu Dhabi to receive full authorization to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP – currently Gardens Campus only).

Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) Inspections

In February 2012, ADEK launched the ‘Irtiqaa’ programme to assure the quality of education in public and private schools in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. 

“Following the strategy of the State to improve the education system and enhance student potential, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge has launched the ‘Irtiqaa’ Inspection program to assess the performance of private schools in Abu Dhabi and give the recommendations needed to improve their performance...

Raha International School (now Gardens Campus) has been rated ‘Outstanding’, the highest rating, in our last two inspection rounds.

...‘Irtiqaa’ is a comprehensive evaluation system that measures the quality of education in private schools in Abu Dhabi. This is performed by authorized inspectors who are hired and trained by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge in order to inspect and evaluate schools according to international standards and provide follow-up to ensure that they have reached the desired criteria.” -  (ADEK, 2019)

Raha International School, Khalifa City Campus is not yet rated by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) as it must first complete 3 years of operation (end of 2022/23) before inspection.
