Extra-curricular

Raha has always seen the Extra-curricular Programme (ECP) as essential to the whole school experience. It is often said that shared activities outside regularly scheduled school hours create the strongest memories.

We aim to offer students the opportunity to experience new areas of activity and develop a range of interests #beyond their academics, and with this in mind, the activities offered by the school are many and varied.

Optional extra-curricular opportunities are offered to all students from Early Years 1 through to Grade 12.

  • Early Years 1 - ECPs run from 1:00pm - 2:00pm
  • Early Years 2 - ECPs run from 2:00pm - 3:00pm
  • Grades 1 to 12 - EPCs run from 3:00pm - 4:00/4:40pm

Activities are organised by teachers, with parent volunteers and senior students actively participating and offering a wider range of clubs and sports. The majority of the activities are free.

Competitive Sports

Raha’s competitive sports programme is run separately to the extra-curricular programme. Competitive sports team try-outs run at the start of each term. Students on a sports team will train at least once per week either before or after school and will also attend a fixture once per week.

Raha International School is a very active member of the Abu Dhabi International School Sports Association (ADISSA) through which tournaments and competitions are organized. Feel free to visit the Raha Raptors sports website to see our sports teams, upcoming fixtures, match results and more.

Performing Arts

Raha also has a thriving Performing Arts programme that runs through the school year. Students of all ages are given the opportunity to audition and participate in a theatre production. In addition, there are several choirs and choruses for our different age groups and smaller acting ensembles for our older students to audition for and perform at the national and international level.

Raha is a member of ISTA (International Schools Theatre Association) and AMIS (Association for Music in International Schools)
